Why Art?

What do you think of this statement from the Manifesto in J. F. Martel’s book, ‘Reclaiming Art in the Age of Artiface’?

Art is the name we have given to humanity’s most primal response to the mystery of existence. It was in the face of the mystery that dance, music, poetry, and painting were born.

Open Mic at Bez has become a source of great encouragement in the midst of such a mysterious and chaotic world. Just setting aside time to share artistic creations with others and somehow makes the intense pressure of survival bearable.
